Our response to attacks by some opponents of our supported candidates

Dear neighbors,

A Better Cleveland for All grew out of a frustration that everyday Clevelanders were are not being heard at City Hall. For too long, our elected officials have been unwilling or unable to protect the interests of residents who are not big donors.

We are a small but dedicated group of Clevelanders from across the city working to support the next generation of leaders who will:

• Fight for housing that we can all afford,
• Ensure a culture of public safety that is accountable to residents,
• Doesn’t seek to further marginalize segments of our community, and
• Establishes transparency and public participation throughout our entire city government.

We know that our small efforts to support new voices to oust well-financed Goliath incumbents will be met with hardy opposition; however, it is our deeply held belief that power concedes nothing without a demand.

The seven candidates we are supporting in the general election in November are the type of new and energetic leaders our city needs to make Cleveland a better city for all. We ask for your support for them.
